Meet: The Horde

 (Please keep in mind that the pictures beside each description are in no way final. They're just what each character is wearing currently, and will change according to how lazy/productive i feel.)

.::||======================||::.

Name: Illondra "Illo" Darkspear
Age(s): 19-late Thirties
Race: Troll
Class: Rogue - Combat
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Jewelcrafting, Mining, Prospecting, Riding, Critter-collecting
Guild: N/A

Background: Born in Orgrimmar to two trolls (Mother a shaman-healer, Father a warrior) she lost her parents during an attack on Warsong Gultch, and was left in the care of her Father's best friend "Gorrum" -- a retired Orc warrior, working as an Auctioneer in Orgrimmar. Due to several horrific incidents, she enlisted in the Horde's next campaign to help the Frostwolf clan in Alterac Valley, but because of an attack on the Zeppelin that downed near Scarlet Monastery, she was taken captive for nearly a year. Rescued by a band of heroes, she later became a vagrant in Undercity, where she honed her skills in pickpocketing. Later 'apprenticed' to Shen'Thul, she trained as a Rogue where she works as an Assasin for Ravenholdt Manor.

Personality: Vengeful, Grudging, Private. Flirty once she gets to know you, and rather promiscuous with her two male companions. She's good at what she does, but willingly admits she's not the best. She has a soft-spot for animals, and hates to see them suffer for no reason (thus why she has about 500 frikkin' companions and mounts).

.::||======================||::.

Name: Artrusilla "Artrio" Ambershine
Age: 8 - 18
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Hunter - Marksman
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Engineering, Mining, Tinkering, Archeology, Paleontology, Reading/Writing, Documenting
Guild: N/A

Background: Raised in Eversong Woods, she was born under Blood Elf parents, both merchants. When she was nearly eight summers old, she accompanied her family on a delivery to Light's Hope Chapel (shortly before the Cataclysm, with the sense that with the Lich King defeated, the threat in the Plaguelands would be minimal). They carried with them a shipment of bandages and other cloth-related goods to resupply the base, however, their caravan was ambushed by scourge on the border between the Ghostlands and the Eastern Plaguelands. Artrusilla fled through the infested fields and marshes as her family was devoured, but quickly became lost. She was eventually rescued from certain death-by-giant-ass-spider by a forsaken mage, "Duchene Ambershine" (which later became her guardian and substitute father). Upon finally reaching the age of admission, Artrusilla joined the ranks of Lady Sylvanas' Marksmen and women as a sharpshooter -- prided for her impressive aim and cunning. She followed the Banshee Queen into battle when the forsaken laid siege to Greymane wall, and later befriended a lost Gilnean pup which she then dubbed "Demitri".
Personality: Naturally Inquisitive, Easily distracted, Loves to tinker with things and see just how they work. She's fascinated with history, and is often considered to have dwarf-like curiosity about things. She'll do just about anything to learn about something, even if it means putting herself in danger. If it wasn't for Demitri or Stasja saving her hide, she'd have been a rug for an Ogre-den years ago. She loves being up-high where she can see everything and dreams to one-day to tame a creature capable of flight, or to design a flying mechanism based on one so that she may better explore the world.

.::||======================||::.

Name: Taffeta "Tiffy" (last name undecided)
Age: 28 - 30
Race: Goblin
Class: Priest - Shadow
Faction: Neutral/Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Alchemy, Herbalism, Research, Holistic Medicine, Documenting, Botany
Guild: N/A

Background: Taffeta (better known as "Tiffy") always seemed to be in the shadow of her older brother Grizzix. Her parents were always proud of her, her talents were always highly-sought, but she was always out-shined by him. But -- she was okay with this. Usually the brains behind the muscle, Taffeta helped her brother rise through the ranks, watching him becoming next-in-line for Trade Prince of Kezan. But when the shadow of Deathwing blackened the sky, and the once-dormant volcano once again became active, things took a turn for the worse. Grizzix and Tiffy -- with the promise of safe passage -- emptied their life-savings and fled to Gallywix's ship destined for Azshara. It was later discovered that Gallywix had had plans to enslave the passengers and later imprisoned them in the bottom of the ship. When the boat itself came under the attack of several Alliance ships, they were left to drown. Luckily however, a blast from an Alliance cannon granted them freedom -- thought not all survived. Still clinging to her brother's side, the two worked their way through the Lost Isles, helping those who needed it, and eventually meeting with the great Horde Warchief himself. But when the battle for true freedom with Gallywix came, things took a turn for the worse. Thrall had gone hand-to-hand with the mechanical maniac, leaving Grizzix and Tiffy with the task of planting a makeshift bomb (laced with highly explosive Kaji-Kola). With the help of his sister, Grizzix attached the bomb to the undercarriage of Gallywix's chassy. Unfortunately for the goblins, the remote-control signal was faulty, leaving them no other choice, but to set it off manually. Despite the pleadings of his younger sister, Grizzix played the hero and lit the fuse himself, causing a massive explosion, along with a major loss of limbs (later to be replaced with self-engineered extremities). Furious with the fact that Thrall absolved the Trade-prince's crimes, Tiffy vowed to one day exact revenge on the pompous buffoon who had enslaved her people and her path to the light had been forever tainted.

Personality: Witty, Cunning, and Quiet. She's often overshadowed by the achievements of her older brother, but she doesn't seem to mind, as he's the whole world to her. She's fascinated by plants, and often tries to hybridize her own for uses in salves and tonics. She fights to stay pure and follow the ways of the light, but is often tempted into darkness, developing an 'inner-voice' -- much like a devil sitting on her shoulder.

.::||======================||::.

Name: Thrishka
Age: 27 - 34
Race: Orc
Class: Warrior
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Kor'Kron Junior Overseer, Guardian, Bodyguard-for-hire
Guild: N/A

Background: The pride of her 'class' in Orgrimmar, Thrishka is well on her way to becoming a full-fledged Kor'Kron Overseer. The title "Junior" was given to her with the addition of her apprenticeship. She currently has three living relatives, her brother Galthrin, and her Father Zuruck. Usually found in bars, pubs, and gambling circles, Thrishka is a force to be reckoned with. Fistfights and bets are the norm for her, and she's rough on her armor and weapons -- quick to forget them for new gear as soon as the chance arises. Her only companion is her grey timberwolf Mogra, specially bred in Orgrimmar for her color and size.

Personality: Bossy, Loud, In-your-face. Doesn't play well with others, and usually butts heads with anyone she meets. She's too proud for her own good, and refuses to ever admit she's wrong, unless it's with her brother Galthrin. Considered "all muscle and no brain" she flies into a fit of rage whenever she's bested by another in a duel. Suffice it to say, she's a little hot-headed.

.::||======================||::.

Name: Duchene Ambershine
Age: 40 - Unknown
Race: Undead
Class: Mage
Faction: Horde/Neutral
Professions/Hobbies: Skinning, Herbalism, Gathering, Survival, previous school-teacher, painting, storytelling.
Guild: N/A

Background: With the coming of Deathwing, the world was thrown into turmoil. The village of "Camp Taurajo" had been burned to the ground, leaving hundreds of the Horde rather pissed off. In a fit of blind rage, a troupe of almost three hundred orcs and trolls attempted an assault on Theramore Isle, some taking captive a handful of humans in the process. Duchene and his family (a wife and daughter) had been just a few. Forced into a cave somewhere near the Wailing Caverns, Duchene was forced to watch as the Horde burned his wife and several other captives alive, with the promise that they would be next. Fortunately (or unfortunately as the case may be...) an attack on the underground base was made by a team of centaur, and the torturing of the prisoners of Theramore was put on hold. The opening was hastily sealed by a shaman with an avalanche of earth, which in-turn upset the torches used on the scorched bodies. The dried grasses and wooden cages caught quickly, and those that could break free of their prisons, soon discovered the fallen boulders blocking their path. With his daughter in his arms, Duchene -- along with the remaining survivors -- perished from smoke inhalation and/or flames. Nearly two weeks later, the bodies were recovered by goblin traders who had ties with the black-market in bodies/slaves. They were sold to a group of forsaken who needed the bodies (and many others) to help reform the Banshee Queen's army with the help of the Valkyr. Duchene awoke in Deathknell at the hand of Arthura, slightly amnesiac and unsure of what had happened. Upon beginning a journey to discover his past, he happened upon a blood elf child, no more than eight who had been trapped inside. It would later be discovered that this was Artrusilla (Artrio). Duchene would later care for her as his own, and even gifting her with his own last name.

Personality: Optimistic, Thinker, Quiet, Reserved. He never rushes into battle, always thinking things through before he makes a decision. He is well-read and knows much of the history of humans, though little of the rest of the world. His talents are few, but having had woodsmen for parents, he has basic knowledge of plants and animals, as well as crude abilities in tanning and skinning. Though he seems cheerful on the outside, he is struggling inward with the fact that he is undead, as well as the loss of his family. And loss, can make men do strange things...

.::||======================||::.

Name: Abrigale Goldenbrow
Age: 20-ish
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Warlock
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Tailoring, limited enchanting capabilities, Flirting, seducing, preening, shopping, bending others to her own will.
Guild: N/A

Background: The house of Goldenbrow was not necessarily a well-known family, but they certainly weren't poor. Abrigale's mother had always been a harlot with the magisters, gaining their family a rank with the well-to-do. Eventually -- tired of his wife's cheating -- Anandor took his daughter to live with him at Fairbreeze village, where he continued his craft at tailoring. However, the heartbreak his wife had caused him, forced him to turn his practices to demonology and the art of pure revenge. Abrigale had found from a young age that she could charm the pants off of just-about any dim-witted male (quite literally in some cases) and was entranced with what her father was learning. When he would leave for supplies or errands, she would sneak into his room and practice the dark arts for herself, soon mastering shadowbolts and curses. Upon discovering his daughter following in his footsteps, he became enraged -- the two engaging in a heated argument, before Abrigale stomped out. Unsure of where to go now that she'd denounced her father, she wandered into Silvermoon and chanced upon a conversation between a handsome warlock by the name of Zanien and a young female mage. A few drinks and some over-the-top flirting, she was able to convince him into teach her how to summon a demon of her own to control. However -- as it is with many men -- Zanien boasted abilities he didn't have. After weeks of shacking up together, Abrigale finally learned how to summon an imp from one of the warlock's peers, and dropped him like an old boot. But her lust for power was not quenched with the minuscule smart-alec creature, and she sought other teachers to further her knowledge in the demonic arts. She later traveled to Orgrimmar where she used her vixen-like abilities to seduce an Orc, promising to learn her the ways of the Incubus -- a rare and complicated procedure that few but the most talented could understand. Unfortunately for her however, the Orc had over-boasted himself as had many of the others, and proved to be nothing more than an apprentice watching the hut for his master away on business. Too late had she learned of this though, as the ritual had already begun. Not only was it the wrong summon, but it was also improperly done, thus resulting in a voidwalker with questionable learning capabilities and an affinity for small critters. Furious with the Orc, she unleashed a torrent of rage upon him, leaving him begging for his life. Her quest for the ever-elusive Incubus was not over though and she eventually left to follow the rumors of a grand Warlock residing in Draenor.

Personality: Flirty, Promiscuous, Strong-willed, Hot-headed, Impatient. If she can't charm it, she'll try and kill it. Constantly surrounded by "idiots" and "incompetent morons" her patience is minimal at best.

.::||======================||::.

Name: Aldebarran Laurentide
Age: 26
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Hunter
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Cooking, Smoking meats, Skinning, Leatherworking, Hunting, Survival
Guild: N/A

*(this is Hubby's)

Background: (Identical to Artrio's history, up to the ravaging of the caravan). Terrified of the scourge devouring his family, Aldebarran was paralyzed with fear, only escaping his own fate by fleeing back down the road they had just came. Lost and alone, the young elf (then 12) learned to fend for himself in the monochromatic wilderness of the ghostlands, rarely venturing further than the ruins he called home. It wasn't until he was nearly 18 that he gathered enough courage to seek civilization. By then, he had become an able hunter, a young lion cub he dubbed "Sebastian" his only companion. With the adventurers leaking through the broken-down town of Tranquillien, he was brushed off -- given menial tasks and errands to run and thus earning small amounts of silver and gold to pay his way into inns and taverns. He soon met a rebellious Silvermoon Guard and the two fell into an awkward romance. Unsure of what had changed since the loss of his family, he follows quietly in the footsteps of his new friend (Valkyron) and begins work as a "guide" through the ghostlands. A goblin named "Snurk" (no relation to the Zeppelin guy...) later hires the two to escort him from Silvermoon to Stranglethorn, along with his various treasures. The two encounter a certain crimson-haired Rogue in the forsaken forest.

Personality: Awkward, quiet, reserved, loves to cook, shy. His love for his companion Valkyron is subtle as he hates attention brought to the touchy subject outside of Silvermoon (most elves from Eversong -- particularly their luxurious capital -- are often eager for pleasure, be it mana, smoking, or carnal pleasures. Often times they overlook gender and sexual preference in leu to gain ecstasy through any means necessary.) Though he also has similar feelings for Illondra. He is also extremely protective of Sebastian (having raised him from a cub).

.::||======================||::.

Name: Valkyron Jadeseer
Age:
Late twenties - Early Thirties
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Paladin
Faction: Horde
Professions/Hobbies: Silvermoon Guard, Flirting, Seducing, Gambling, Drinking
Guild: N/A

Background:
Not much is known about Valkyron's past, other than he's from a well-to-do large family, and had at one point proved worthy enough to join the ranks of the Silvermoon Guard. He chanced upon Aldebarran in the woods, poaching in a reserve -- but instead of arresting him, he seduced him. Long story short, Valkyron was late for checkpoint, inciting the wrath of his overseer, who demanded he take some time off and get his affairs back in order. (He'd been slacking as-of-late, saying he was missing something in life.) Through some sweet-talking, Valkyron manages to convince Aldebarran into becoming a guide-for-hire out in the Ghostlands, where they meet Abrigale. After a harrowing journey with her, they fall into work with a rich goblin named "Snurk" (see Aldebarran). The two later chance across Illondra who attempts to assasinate the tiny green man.
Personality: Pompous, Stuck-up, Flirtatious, Promiscuous, Proud, Haughty, and vain in general. He'll screw just about anything that moves (male or female) and has no problem conscience-wise about it. Though he's rather attatched to Aldebarran (seemingly the only person he's romantically-involved with on a regular basis) he makes it clear that he's got a thing for redheads in general.
